Your location is used in the background (even when the app is closed), only when you enable the tracking of your mobile device (geolocation), this does not apply to the tracking of physical GPS devices installed in your vehicle units. For the rest of the functionalities, your location will only be used while using the app (as long as you authorise it), particularly to locate you on the map in relation to the GPS devices that are configured within your account.
